Career Exploration

At South Seminole Academy of Career Exploration, students experience three years of self-discovery as they explore a variety of electives and learn about Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways they can choose to continue at SCPS high schools. Students at SSA gain an advantage as the connect with their future early and develop a sense of purpose in learning.

Students begin by joining a "House" for a smaller school experience, where students and faculty in their House build a strong sense of community. Houses develop traditions and experience house-specific career themed projects throughout the year. Friendly competition with other houses motivates and excites students as well, as the school strives to develop future leaders through excellence in all things!

Students have three career pathways to choose from as they explore careers:

Business & Creation Pathway	Service Pathway	Technology Pathway
Focused on entrepreneurial skills, creativity, and innovation, this pathway will prepare students for careers in business, marketing, and creative industries.	Designed for students interested in fields such as law, healthcare, public service, hospitality, and education, this pathway will emphasize community engagement and leadership in service-oriented careers.	Aimed at students with an interest in technology, engineering, and computer science, this pathway will immerse students in cutting-edge technological skills and problem-solving methodologies.
